Sports surfaces

PitchScore: evidence behind the pitch.

A proposed project-passport framework for sports surfaces, connecting installation, performance, sustainability and carbon evidence without turning incomplete data into a misleading headline score.

The framework

Four dimensions.
No hidden average.

PitchScore is designed to show what is supported, what is still modelled and what requires independent review.

A pitch can perform strongly in one area while evidence remains incomplete in another. Each dimension therefore keeps its own result, confidence and status rather than being concealed inside one combined number.

01

Carbon progress

Theoretical capacity, modelled forecast, monitored indicators and independently verified net removal remain visibly separate.

Evidence status required
02

Surface performance

Drainage, temperature, stability, playability and durability results are linked to named tests and dates.

Evidence status required
03

Sustainability

Material identity, safety, maintenance, repair, recyclability, recovery and end-of-life evidence are retained.

Evidence status required
04

Transparency

BioTrack measures evidence completeness, traceability, version history and human review, not environmental performance itself.

Evidence status required

Carbon result hierarchy

Say exactly what the evidence supports.

  1. Theoretical capacityStoichiometric ceiling under stated assumptions.
  2. Modelled forecastProject estimate using a controlled methodology.
  3. Monitored progressField observations and measurements linked to the asset.
  4. Verified net removalOnly after the defined independent review has been completed.
GRASSFITT

Connects the pitch system

Records the Fusion material batch, installation method and seam evidence.

CARBONFITT

Defines the mineral layer

Controls the hybrid mineral-layer specification, including its ceramic and olivine components, quantity, exposure and sampling plan.

BIOTRACK

Preserves the evidence chain

Records GPS, rainfall, tests, calculations and independent-review decisions.

Follow one controlled pitch from installation to review.

Use the interactive BioTrack demonstration to inspect required evidence, identify gaps and open the rainfall-adjusted carbon model. All project records remain fictional.
