Technology integration

Complementary technologies, built into one accountable application.

CarbonFitt works with technology owners and specialist suppliers to develop practical mineral-based applications. BioTrack provides the MRV infrastructure and evidence chain needed to understand what was installed, what happened and what can responsibly be claimed.

Core design principle

Function first.
Carbon evidence throughout.

The host surface must remain safe, durable and fit for its primary purpose.

CarbonFitt does not begin with a carbon-credit claim. It begins with a defined application, a controlled material specification, known exposure conditions and a project monitoring plan.

The intended mechanism

Carbon dioxide enters.
Stable mineral carbon is the intended output.

Reactive minerals are designed to interact with carbon dioxide under suitable conditions and convert it into a more stable mineral form. The rate and amount cannot be assumed: they must be established through testing, project data and an accepted calculation method.

INPUTCO₂

Atmospheric or application-relevant carbon dioxide exposure

REACTIONMineral

Defined reactive material under recorded operating conditions

INTENDED OUTPUTCarbonate

Carbon held in a more stable mineral form, subject to measurement

Conceptual build-up

Where the system fits.

This shows the design logic, not a universal construction specification. Each application requires its own engineering, safety, durability and exposure assessment.

01Functional surfaceSport, play, roof, landscape or infrastructure finish
02Engineered interfaceApplication-specific protection, separation or performance layer

What controls performance

Removal is project-specific.

A credible result depends on more than the mineral alone. These variables must be specified and preserved in the project record.

01

Mineral system

Material identity, source, preparation, batch and quantity.

02

Host surface

Application build-up, primary function and engineering constraints.

03

Exposure

Air, moisture, temperature, surface area and operating conditions.

04

Time

Defined monitoring intervals and the point at which results are assessed.

CarbonFitt + BioTrack

What was planned.
What was installed.
What was measured.

CarbonFitt controls the application specification and delivery record while respecting each partner’s background intellectual property. BioTrack preserves the evidence chain and identifies gaps. Neither replaces independent technical or carbon verification.

Development proposition

Integration of reactive mineral systems into functional built surfaces.

Project validation required

Engineering suitability, safety, durability, reaction conditions, monitoring and net-removal calculation.

Independent decision required

Verified removal quantity, certification, credit eligibility and any customer-facing carbon claim.

Test the complete system in a controlled pilot.

A useful pilot establishes technical practicality, material traceability, measurement requirements, delivery cost and the evidence needed for independent assessment.
